We will never forget September 11th, 2001. 🇺🇲🗽. May we honor the lives that were lost in this tragic act. May we give thanks for those who served and saved, rendered aid and assistance. May we give comfort to those who live with loss.

I am firmly in opposition of the double taxation t I am firmly in opposition of the double taxation to the homeowners of downtown Miami. It would be crucial to analyze and audit where the money is being spent. Downtown has a lot of needs and one of them shall not be the payment of a double tax. #nodoubletax #doingittogether #haciendolojuntos #cevallosmiami #cevallosformayor #miami

The city of Miami’s decision to postpone the scheduled November 2025 election to 2026 without voter approval was unconstitutional, Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal has ruled, siding with a lower court.

On Thursday, the appellate court handed down its ruling in the lawsuit filed by mayoral candidate Emilio González, who sued last month after the Miami City Commission voted 3-2 to postpone the election to 2026 via ordinance, rather than through a ballot referendum.

Thursday’s ruling marked another victory for González, a former city manager. “Let this be a warning to every politician in Miami: the days of corruption without consequence are over,” González said in a statement. @emilioformiami

Happy Juneteenth ❤💛💚 Also called Emancipat Happy Juneteenth ❤💛💚
Also called Emancipation Day, Freedom Day or Jubilee Day, Juneteenth is the commemoration of June 19, 1865, the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, TX, learned that they were free.

While President Lincoln had issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, it only applied to people in Confederate states, not those enslaved in Union-held territories (they were not freed until the proclamation of the 13th Amendment).
